Manga Idea [19 Jan 2012|12:48am]

Hey all,
I'm a writer that writes lots of different stories from comics, mangas and novels.I've got lots of story ideas and I was hoping I could find some wonderful artists to create them into some real life comics.
My plan is either to put them on a site caleld capsulecomputers.com.au that I have some connections with and we would put the comic/manga in it's own section to advertise it to the thousands of viewers that come to the site. The other plan is make the comic great and al then send it out to every comic publisher we know:D

Anyway I have LOTS of story ideas
If you're interested in the least check them out: auraredwood.livejournal.com/tag/story idea :D
and I hope someone would like to go on this little journey with me :P

p.s. I edited this post so if the comments don't make sense....that's why :P

Land of Averia [16 Jul 2009|03:52pm]

Hi, I'm new here.

In order to distract myself from the shounenai addiction that I am currently weaning myself from (but I’ll still be writing them maybe weekly), I’ve decided to diversify my interest to include drawing.

To encourage myself, I’ve created an imaginary mystical kingdom, Land of Averia. It will be populated with royalty, warriors, sorcerers, bizarre creatures, etc. I intend to update on a weekly basis with new characters and their favourite inspirational quotes. No major plot has been planned so the main focus for now is character design.

Background on Land of Averia:

To kick start the drawings, here are the sketches of two characters:

Warrior from the House of Lorenzia:

Favourite quote: In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe. – MJ, Michael Jackson

Well, between making art commissions i found some free time to make this pic and after lots of work i finished this "Chibi Faith vs. Chibi Buffy" image. I chose the haircut of season 3 for both of them and also to add some moonlight surrounding the girls.

I hope you all like the pic.

And please, I really want to read your comments! :)

Hey there~. I'm Rav.

I'm an artist that recently moved from Texas to Philadelphia, for school. I like to create characters designs and the such, but I'm trying to teach myself to get into more elaborate illustrations and outright create manga with the few stories I have tucked away. I guess there's not much to say immediately... but I work traditionally with graphite and watercolors, and digitally, I use photoshop CS, Painter X, and Open Canvas. Just so you know, I especially love making kemonomimi, and characters that are personifications of objects and such.

So, until I can get my website up officially, here's a link to my deviantart page:

Aspiring Manga artist [02 Jan 2009|02:29am]

[ mood | chipper ]

Hey there,

I'm Keita-Chan and I'm a manga artist.  I have lots of original characters and lots of ideas that I want to show people.  I'm serious about my craft and I want to show people my talent.  I do commissions and I'm currently working on tutorials/how to's.  I'm currently working on an action packed comic for my small press manga publishing company called QTK ANIME.  I'm hoping to make it a flash webcomic to make the action, and reading flow, easier for fans.  I'll be posting the details on my LJ soon.  Stay tuned.

Hello Everyone [22 Aug 2008|08:48pm]

[ mood | calm ]

Hey guys, I just joined the community, and I was hoping to post something up (and find a reason to introduce myself without wasting your time)

I'm not a rising mangaka or anything, I'm more of a rising illustrator.

This is a picture of Lynn and Tyrone, two characters I have. They're both GUYS! Although the one on the left looks more like a girl. Nothing explicit is shown, they are naked but all you can see is their chests so... If you don't like YAOI you are forewarned.

dA fella Mecha exoskeleton with Pinup Girl inside (kinda-Shirow-style) [08 Aug 2008|02:44pm]

[ mood | creative ]

Hi people! well, i am posting a new artwork. This one has been specially hard to make, for many reasons: to put a pin-up girl inside a mecha-version-dA-fella-guy (the DeviantArt mascot) was one of them!

Also to use the fella as inspiration to make the mecha exoskeleton of the lady warrior was pretty complicated....to make their bodies work together was harder...add to it the whole glass, metal, gold and human skin textures, transparency and you will have a biiiig problem there.

Anyway, i finished it, and i am finally ready to take commissions like usual (this last year real-life has been hard!), also, comments and questions will be very welcomed!

Any writers out there looking for a doujinshi artist? [30 May 2008|12:21am]

I am an abandoned little doujinka with a pencil in my hand and a stack of paper on my desk but no ideas on what to to draw. ;o;

Now that it’s finally summer break and I have nothing to do but work and draw, I suffer the curse of an urge to draw a manga but an empty brain~~ All my doujin writers I’ve worked with in the past are busy and I don’t blame them if they don’t have time but I am eager to make a new doujin and no one wants to right now. *sadtear*

S-soooo, what this all comes down to is.... anyone want to collaborate on a short-ish doujinshi/manga with me? I’m talking 20-40 pages at most ‘Cause that’s my manga-drawing attention-span limit, apparently, and if we get along well, of course we can always make more. ^o^ The person I am looking for must not be interested in gaining anything like money for this. It’s too complicated if we do that, unless we live in the same area and can actually meet and sell at cons together and stuff, so it’d only be for fun! But we can post it online, to share it with others! :D

I’m not THAT picky of what series we do, it can even be an original provided that it’s short and the story is captivating enough! (And maybe if I can add in some of my own characters!) So, YEAH. Series that I like and know pretty well: BLEACH (gya, it’s def. my favorite and my first choice for drawing), KHR, Gintama, One Piece, Death Note... Shonen-ish stuff along those lines.

As for the genre of the manga, I prefer characters acting like how they’re supposed to (so not really interested in romance/yaoi/etc, unless it’s canon of course) or extreme angsty drama (too boring), but other than that, I’m wide open! I’m well over 18+, so mature themes don’t bother me at all! As a somewhat sidenote, I’d also ideally like you, the writer, to be over 18... I dunno, personal preference I guess, but it seems strange for me, at 22 yrs, to be working with someone younger than my youngest siblings... then again, same goes for if you’re super old.... but that’s pretty rare!

Your Qualifications!

- Must be an awesomely knowledgeable fan of the series and be up to date with the latest manga chapters.
- Over 18 years old
- NOT be busy, please be excited and devoted about working on it and don’t abandon the project!
- You should have MSN or something so we can talk to each other and stuff~
- Have an idea for a comic, or a previously written script/fanfiction you’d like to see drawn. :D

MY Qualifications!

- Art samples~
* Illustrations/Fanart: http://charcoal-gray.deviantart.com/gallery/
* Previous Comics: http://windmill.smackjeeves.com (Original)
http://kuroshiro.smackjeeves.com (Bleach fancomic)

And there it all is! If you think you have what it takes (basically, that just means you’ll stick with it), I’d love to work with you and get to know you~! Please send me an email at spaceasylum@gmail.com with some samples of other writings if you have them, your MSN, and... just tell me about yourself and your favorite mangas and all your ideas! ;D

B&W Artist [18 May 2008|05:46pm]

[ mood | sick ]

Looking just for some work to build up a portfolio with. Or if anything, a little doujin community/circle to jump in since I want to get underway with possibly coming up with my own one-shots or comic series.

(I fail hard at scanning in sketches properly, Lol. Also my most recent sketch.)

(Old-ass pic, but still my best ink work to date.)
